VOTING FOR OSCARS® ENDS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19

Final voting for the Oscars will end Tuesday,
February 19, at 5 p.m. PT. Ballots received after the deadline will not be counted. The Academy is urging members who have chosen to vote by paper ballot to return them well in advance of the deadline due to the Presidents Day holiday on Monday, February 18.

The 5,856 voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will have until the 19th to vote in up to 24 categories. This year the Academy for the first time offered its members the option of casting their ballots online. Final voting began on February 8.

The votes are being tabulated and verified by the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Oscars for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane, and presented on Oscar® Sunday, February 24, at the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood and Highland Center®.  The Oscar presentation will be televised live on the ABC Television Network and in more than 225 countries worldwide.
